About the Program

Gender inequality and harmful cultural practices continue to expose women and girls to violence and social exclusion in some rural communities.

DCO works to prevent gender-based violence by promoting community awareness on women's rights, engaging traditional leaders and local authorities, and encouraging the participation of men and boys in gender equality initiatives.

These programs aim to strengthen community protection systems, reduce harmful practices such as early marriage, and create safer environments where women and girls can live with dignity and equal opportunities
